Certified Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist Dental Procedures: Assist the dental team during various dental procedures, including but not limited to examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.

2. Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for treatment, take and record vital signs, and provide reassurance and support to anxious patients.

3. Sterilization and Infection Control: Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe dental environment in compliance with MOPH guidelines.

4. Instrument Maintenance: Ensure dental instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized for use. Report any malfunctioning equipment.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charts, treatment plans, and medical histories.

6. Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions, post-treatment care guidelines, and answer any questions they may have.

7. Radiography: Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and ensure patient safety during the process.

8. Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant License from the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in Qatar is mandatory.
• Bachelor Degree in General Nursing .
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
